Math Jams
Math Jams are free online discussions hosted by Art of Problem Solving for a variety of purposes, including:
- Informational sessions about Art of Problem Solving classes.
- Review of the AMC and AIME competitions.
- Introductions to new topics in math and other areas of study.
- Special events, such as our annual discussions with admissions officers and professors from outstanding universities such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, and Duke.
To attend a Math Jam, simply sign in to Art of Problem Solving just before the Math Jam begins, and click on the Classroom bar that will appear on the screen. The Math Jam classroom will open 10 minutes before the Math Jam begins. (See Classroom System Requirements)

Mathcamp 2026 Qualifying Quiz Part 1 Math Jam, Problems 2, 5, and 6

Join the Canada/USA Mathcamp staff for this exciting Math Jam, where they discuss solutions to Problems 2, 5, & 6 of the 2026 Mathcamp Qualifying Quiz! Mathcamp is an intensive 5-week-long summer program for high school students. The Qualifying Quiz is the centerpiece of the Mathcamp application; the problems are designed to be fun, challenging, and thought-provoking. Anybody who's interested is welcome, whether you applied to Mathcamp this year or just want to talk about some cool problems with Mathcamp instructors. Game Jam: Scurry, Honeycombs, and Clueless

We will play through some of our newly designed daily math puzzles. We'll discuss strategies, play through several puzzles, and iterate on puzzle rules.
Non-Trivial Math Jam: Bayesian Reasoning and Fermi Estimation for Positive Impact

Youth research incubator Non-Trivial will lead a Jam on two tools for reasoning quantitatively under uncertainty: Bayes' Theorem and Fermi estimation. You'll learn why a mathematical skillset is essential for impactful work in college and your career, and how you can access Non-Trivial's programs, grants, and scholarships for exceptional math students.

Game Jam: Fraction Battle
